An undergraduate degree is a significant achievement for anyone. Typically taking three to five years to complete, it equips you with the subject-specific knowledge and skills needed to embark on a real career. Universities are primarily ranked based on the quality of their degree-level course delivery. During their studies, students attend lectures and seminars, prepare presentations, and complete assignments.

Course Information
Bachelor’s degrees are standard undergraduate qualifications. They typically take three or four years to complete and may include an additional year in the industry.
BSc Economics
Economics degrees offer an excellent initial overview of economic theory and practical application.
Course options are incredibly diverse, covering a wide range of topics. Dissertation titles are extremely flexible, allowing for in-depth study in areas of interest.
Many Economics graduates quickly transition into financial analysis positions through graduate schemes. Companies often hire graduates immediately after completing their studies and provide training to align them with the company’s culture.
BSc Business
A BSc in Business (Management) provides an excellent foundation for further study in the field or a direct transition into a graduate position.
Undergraduate business degrees cover a wide range of topics, including marketing, management, micro and macroeconomics, and elements of politics or international relations.
Many business students choose to study a foreign language alongside their main degree, forming what is sometimes known as a Modern Language Business Management (MLBM) degree. In these programs, students typically study 60 credits of business per year, 20 credits of language classes, and an additional 20 credits of culture-based courses related to their chosen language.
Almost all universities in the UK offer some form of business degree. However, in a saturated market, where you study can be a crucial factor. Some universities, such as Manchester’s Alliance Business School, have entire faculties and campuses dedicated to the subject.
BSc Computer Science
Computer Science is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after degrees as the world approaches another technological boom.
Known colloquially as ‘CompSci’ (comp-see) by UK natives, Computer Science encompasses the study of all things related to computers. However, courses primarily focus on practical programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, and Java.
The most prestigious courses are offered by institutions like Cambridge and Oxford. Nonetheless, many other universities are recognizing the increasing demand and are expanding their Computer Science programs. It’s important to note that the job market often considers the reputation of the university where you earned your degree.
Many CompSci graduates from respected universities typically secure postgraduate tech positions due to the high demand for their skills.
